Movie Script Contest:The Golden Brad Awards was founded in 2006 by a multi-award winning screenwriter and story analyst whose years in the trenches of story development earned him high acclaim and a keen sense of story.

“The idea for Movie Script Contest and the Golden Brad Awards happened after I was an American Gem Contest award-winner a couple years back. I felt there was a lack of effective screenwriting contests that did something to advance writers' careers. Soon, I was joined by industry veterans who contributed to make the contest a reality. Thus the Golden Brad Awards and Movie Script Contest were born.
